Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to purchases made from MadeWeird, operated by DeBray ICT Diensten.
It supplements our Terms & Conditions and does not limit rights that consumers have under mandatory law.
2. Digital downloads
Many MadeWeird products are digital products delivered electronically.
Consumers normally have a statutory withdrawal period for online purchases. However, for downloadable or otherwise immediately supplied digital content, the right of withdrawal may end once delivery begins if the customer has first expressly consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal.
Accordingly, where the legally required consent and acknowledgment have been obtained and digital delivery has started, we do not normally offer a change-of-mind refund for that digital product.
This does not affect your rights if:
- the product is defective;
- the files cannot reasonably be accessed;
- the delivered product is materially different from its description;
- you have another mandatory legal right to a refund.
3. Before a digital product has been delivered
Where digital delivery has not begun and a statutory or contractual cancellation right still applies, you may contact us to request cancellation.
4. Duplicate purchases
If you accidentally purchase the same digital product more than once, contact us at info@madeweird.nl.
Where we can reasonably verify that the duplicate purchase was accidental, we may refund the duplicate transaction.
5. Technical problems
If a purchased file is missing, corrupted or cannot be downloaded, please contact us before purchasing it again.
We will first try to provide a replacement download or resolve the technical issue.
6. Custom design projects
Refunds and cancellation of custom design projects depend on:
- whether work has started;
- how much work has already been completed;
- the agreed project terms;
- and any statutory consumer rights that apply.
If a valid cancellation right exists and you request performance to begin during that period, payment may still be due for work already performed where applicable law permits this.
Once custom work has been substantially or fully performed, cancellation may not entitle you to a full refund.
Nothing in this section removes mandatory consumer rights.
7. Change of mind after delivery
For digital content where the statutory withdrawal right has validly ended following the required consent and commencement of delivery, MadeWeird is generally unable to provide refunds solely because:
- you changed your mind;
- you no longer need the product;
- you purchased the wrong product without first checking the description;
- you do not like the style after downloading a product that matches its description;
- you lack compatible software where compatibility requirements were clearly stated.
We will nevertheless consider genuine problems fairly.
8. Refund method
Approved refunds will normally be made to the original payment method.
Processing times after a refund has been issued depend on Stripe, your bank and your chosen payment method.
9. How to request help or a refund
Contact:
Include where possible:
- your name;
- order number;
- email address used for the purchase;
- product or project concerned;
- reason for the request.
10. Statutory withdrawal
Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal, you may exercise it without giving a reason within the applicable period.
Since 19 June 2026, Dutch online sellers must also provide a clearly accessible online cancellation/withdrawal button for contracts to which the statutory withdrawal right applies. This is an additional method and does not replace the standard withdrawal form.
